Concrete Solutions

Most people take concrete for granted. We drive on it, walk on it, and build on it. As long as it does its job, we don’t really think much about it.

However, when there is a problem with the concrete, we think a LOT about it! Concrete can sink, crack, or crumble. When it is no longer safe or usable, it’s time for a concrete expert like Airlift Concrete Experts, LLC to come in and offer some concrete solutions to restore the strength of the cement.

Exterior Concrete Leveling

Outdoor concrete surfaces can range from patios and sidewalks to driveways and roads. All have different jobs to do and different stressors that they have to deal with. The surfaces can become cracked or uneven, leading to tripping hazards or damaging equipment. The damaged concrete can allow water to penetrate into places it shouldn’t, causing even more problems. It is important that you repair damaged exterior concrete as soon as possible.

One of the best solutions for damaged concrete is through the use of polyurethane foam. The foam is injected underneath the concrete, causing the slab to rise to the desired level and giving the concrete a stable base. The foam is waterproof, so it can’t wash away and it seals the bottom of the slab. Additionally, the cure time is around 15 minutes, so in the time it takes to clean up and put away the equipment, your concrete slab will be ready to be used.

Interior Concrete Leveling

Whether your home or business is built on a concrete slab or it has a basement, there is a concrete floor that is supporting the structure. If the concrete is damaged, the building is in danger of being damaged even more. The structure can be weakened or water and pests can enter the building.

Airlift Concrete Experts has a concrete solution that is perfect for interior concrete problems. Polyjacking doesn’t use heavy equipment, so it’s easy to do repairs inside a home or business. There is no demolition needed and only a few small holes are drilled into the concrete surface. The foam is then injected through the holes to the underside of the concrete. Cracks will be sealed from below and the bottom of the slab will be water-tight. Once the slab is restored, the holes are filled and the slab is ready to be used in a short amount of time.

Commercial Concrete Solutions

Commercial properties may have some unique situations when compared with residential structures. Airlift Concrete Experts can provide stabilization, raise concrete slabs and footings, seal cracks, and filling voids.

There are several causes for a foundation settling, but the solution is usually the same. Soil can compress or weaken or water can erode the soil underneath the slab. Water can also expand, pushing against the concrete, causing cracks and shifting. A concrete expert will inspect the property and determine not only the cause of the problem, but what the best solution is.

Many people try to seal cracks themselves, but that is a temporary fix that can actually hide underlying problems. By using polyurethane foam, we can seal the bottom of the slab and fill in any voids that are located there. The foam won’t wash away and is lighter than the mudjacking slurry that is used by other methods. The foam will also compress the weak soil, making it more stable. When the foam expands, it will also cause the slab to rise to the desired level. We’re able to control the foam so that the slab is within 1/10″ of the desired height.
